Journalists often lose touch with their creative side, stuck in a world of words, weighty news agendas and overthinking. This creative networking event will give you a chance to tap into your intuition to view your profession in a new way and share your insights with other journalists. You might think that you are not an artist, but our event will make it easy for you to play with color, images and patterns. The term “zine” comes from "magazine" and refers to an amateur mini-publication. Zines are often folded from a sheet of A4 paper - and this workshop is no exception. Inspiration can be found, for example, at zines.cool or from bestselling creativity author Austin Kleon. Your hosts are Emma and Barbara. We were both once too-serious journalists and we are now working as facilitators, consultants and coaches. We met in 2019 during our coaching training and found we have a lot in common, especially our desire to help others tap into creativity, colour and fun while learning and growing.
