Work areas

Accreditation and Ticketing

You support us in taking care of our media partners, journalists, speakers, and participants, welcoming them with your friendly demeanor. At ticketed events, you check entry tickets at the entrance, and distribute festival badges and wristbands. You ensure that everyone finds their way around and has a good start at the b° future festival. You should have good communication skills, patience, calmness, and good English skills.

Information Point

"Where can I find the restroom? When does the lecture take place? How do I log into the Wi-Fi?" At the Info Point, you are the central contact point for all guests of the b° future festival. If you are communicative and enjoy being helpful and patiently answering questions, this is the perfect role for you. To answer questions from international guests, you should have good English skills.

Setup or Teardown

If you don't want to miss any part of the three-day program and enjoy being physically active, then support us with setup and teardown. Please only sign up for this role if you are physically fit! You will need sturdy, closed-toe footwear and clothing that can get dirty (preferably not sneakers or fabric shoes – work shoes are ideal).

Program Runner

As a program runner, you primarily support us by taking care of the speakers, but you also help out wherever needed. Is there not enough water on the stage? Is a speaker not at the correct stage yet? Off you go! Additionally, we assist the interpreters and translators and inform them about changes or special lecture formats. As an assistant in the program area, you should have good English skills, be able to remain calm in stressful situations, and have a friendly demeanor.

Stage Assistant

A keen eye is needed at the stage. Does the stage need to be tidied up? Is there water at the stage? Do the technicians need something to eat or drink? Are all the doors closed during indoor events? Do guests need assistance? Does the room need ventilation? You support the stage managers and contribute to a smooth program flow.

Hospitality

As a hospitality assistant, you are the face of b° future and will be deployed in various areas with public contact.

Kids Space

We have specially designed areas for children and their parents. However, parental supervision is always required. This means you are not a caregiver or babysitter but rather ensure that everything runs smoothly in these areas. This includes contacting the area manager in case of problems, running errands, or being a point of contact for children and parents if they have questions.

Floater

As a floater, spontaneity and flexibility are the most important requirements. You support us with whatever tasks arise and step in where others are absent. This could be in accreditation or guest services, but physical tasks may also be required. Be prepared for periods when there might not be much to do. Expect the unexpected! You will need sturdy, closed-toe footwear (preferably not sneakers or fabric shoes).

Technical Support

As a technical assistant, you support all technical areas (audio/lighting/video/streaming/network) of the b° future festival. Cables, cable ties, and gaffer tape: these are among your main tools. You assist with network setup and should bring not only a certain affinity for technology but also physical effort, especially for cable laying. Please only prioritize this role if you are physically fit and have some basic technical knowledge. You will primarily be involved in the setup and teardown of the technical equipment for the b° future festival. You will need sturdy, closed-toe footwear (preferably not sneakers or fabric shoes – work shoes are ideal).
