Your Tasks

Be part of the third edition of the b° future festival from October 2–4 and experience Europe’s festival for journalism and constructive dialogue up close.

Below, you’ll find all the information about where we need support – and what you should bring to the table.

Accreditation and Ticketing

You support us in taking care of our media partners, journalists, speakers, and participants, welcoming them with your friendly demeanor. At ticketed events, you check entry tickets at the entrance, and distribute festival badges and wristbands. You ensure that everyone finds their way around and has a good start at the b° future festival. You should have good communication skills, patience, calmness, and good English skills.

Hospitality/Infopoint

As a hospitality team member, you’ll be the face of b° future and work in areas with direct guest interaction.
“Where’s the restroom? When does the talk start? How do I connect to the Wi-Fi?” – At the info point and across program locations, you’ll be the go-to person for visitors of the b° future festival.

If you’re communicative, enjoy helping others, and are patient when answering questions, this role is a great fit for you. To assist our international guests, you should have a good command of English.

Program Runner

As a program runner, you’ll primarily support us in taking care of our speakers – and jump in wherever help is urgently needed.
There’s not enough water at the stage? A speaker hasn’t found the right location yet? Time to step in!

To work in this role, you should have good English skills, stay calm under pressure, and maintain a friendly and professional attitude.

Stage Assistant

At the stage, a sharp eye is needed. Does the stage need tidying up? Is there enough drinking water? Are all doors closed during indoor events? Do guests need assistance? Does the room need ventilation?

You’ll support the program runners and help ensure everything runs smoothly during the sessions.

Floater

Spontaneity and flexibility are key in this role. You’ll jump in wherever help is needed and cover for others if someone drops out. That could mean assisting with accreditation, guest support – or sometimes helping out with physical tasks.

Be prepared for anything… including moments when there’s nothing to do at all. Expect the unexpected!
Please wear sturdy, closed-toe shoes (ideally no sneakers or fabric shoes).

Technical Support

As a technical assistant, you will support us in all technical areas of the b° future festival. While all our venues come with basic technical equipment, quick action is required when problems arise to avoid delays in the schedule. Therefore, in addition to having a certain affinity for technology, you should also be prepared for some physical work. Please make sure to wear sturdy, closed-toe footwear (ideally no sneakers or canvas shoes).

What do we offer?

  • €14.50 hourly wage
  • Lunch and drinks provided on the festival grounds
  • Exclusive access and behind-the-scenes insights into the festival
  • The chance to meet exciting experts from the media industry
  • A friendly, open team and a positive working atmosphere
