Alexandra Haderlein studied journalism with a focus on politics and economics and is a trained cross-media editor. Since 2020, she and a team that now includes 20 colleagues have been building www.relevanzreporter.de - a site for independent, forward-looking, solutions-oriented journalism for Nuremberg and the region. Audience participation in the constructive research is just as much a component as are their journalistic events and the development of the non-profit media site as such. With the support of various scholarships, including the media exchange program "Stars4media" from the European Commission, the "Relevanz reporters", together with the Danish media partners "Constructive Institute" and Zetland.dk, have brought constructive journalism to German local journalism. Furthermore, the non-profit Relevanzreporter UG is the first local media offering in Germany to practice community journalism in such a consistent manner and one of the first German media offerings to have its social impact anchored in its business plan. Before Alexandra Haderlein gave up her permanent position in 2020 and, with the help of various scholarships (including Media Lab Bayern, Hamburg Media School and City University New York), set up the editorial team of the Nuremberg Relevanzreporter, she worked for 14 years at a major regional newspaper in Nuremberg. Always committed to the next generation of journalists in trade unions and as a lecturer at universities, the speaker has also "trained" knowledge transfer for children in her side job: For more than 20 years, she was a guide for groups of visitors through the Nuremberg soccer stadium, preferably those with children.
