Alona Yatsyna is a media manager, military journalist, and founder of the Sumy regional media outlet Kordon.Media. She has been working in the media for seven years. She worked in television news and had her own investigative journalism project "(not) involved." She was a participant in the projects "Exposure Lab" by Bihus.Info, "Schemes in the Regions," and "Schemes" by RFE|RL. She is a nominee and winner of the national award "Media.etc 2.0," and a nominee of the National Investigative Journalism Competition from the Media Development Foundation and YanukovychLeaks. Additionally, she received an award from the National Council of Ukraine on Television and Radio Broadcasting for military journalism and an award from the Prime Minister of Ukraine for journalistic work during the war. She has two years of experience in managing a TV company and worked as an advisor to the head of the regional administration on media and communication policy. In 2022, she served as a press officer for the Sumy Regional Military Administration.
