Andreas Stopp is a radio journalist and presenter who was a permanent employee at Deutschlandfunk until 2024. Among other responsibilities, he edited and presented the “Journalen am Vormittag” (Morning Journals), a live broadcast focusing on social issues with audience participation. He was also in charge of the cultural travel magazine “Sonntagsspaziergang.”
He is the creator and director of Deutschlandfunk's first media magazine, “Markt und Medien.” Additionally, he developed experimental live formats, such as the first “Leserbrief” (Letter to the Editor) program, “mediasres im Dialog.” Beyond his journalistic work, he regularly moderated panel discussions and conferences.
He studied media education in Bonn and Cologne, gaining his first practical experience in radio broadcasting through internships at ORF in Vienna and South Tyrol. He has received several awards for his work, including the Kurt Magnus Prize and the Grimme Prize for “Markt und Medien.” For many years, he also worked as a lecturer in journalism training at the University of Bamberg.
