I am a journalist working as a trans man, not the other way around. I have built up my foreign news beat over the past 10 years in the newsrooms of leading German-language media: Ippen Digital, German Press Agency (dpa), German daily newspaper Süddeutsche.de, and the German TV news show tagesschau. I have reported from Russia, Ukraine, Belarus and the Baltic States and also assess developments in the countries as an expert in front of and behind the camera. I studied in Bayreuth, Moscow and Munich as well as at the German School of Journalism (DJS). I conduct interviews in German, English and Russian. My most important skill for life and work: multi-perspectivity and a robust nonsense filter.
