Moritz Döbler is editor-in-chief of the local German newspaper Rheinische Post. Döbler studied business administration and graduated from the Henri Nannen School of Journalism. He spent his early professional years at news agencies, first at dpa in Hamburg and Munich, then at Reuters in Berlin, where he served as digital director and head of the capital bureau, among other positions. He then spent ten years at the newspaper Der Tagesspiegel in Berlin, most recently as a member of the editorial board, then five years as editor-in-chief of the Weser-Kurier in Bremen. Since the beginning of 2020, Döbler has headed the editorial department of the Rheinische Post. Over the years, he has reported from Bosnia and Rwanda, covered numerous EU, G8 and G20 summits and accompanied both former German Chancellors Gerhard Schröder and Angela Merkel to the White House.
