Nuno Trigueiros (b. 1997) considers himself a painter and image collector, a multidisciplinary artist coming from peripheral contexts inspired by the community of Linha de Sintra, near Lisboa where he was born, raised, and still lives today. He studied Artistic Production in Lisbon. He does painting, collage, photomontage, screen printing, and drawing. He promotes the convergence between the worlds of urban and plastic arts, actively contributing to a progressive establishment in the institutional art world. Through the theme of "stamps," the artist consolidates his visual identity in a creative process that emerges from old stamp collections and a new perspective on the reality around him. He is a member of the Unidigrazz collective. He has created single covers, directed videos, designed concert sets, and balanced lighting for the production of Tristany's album "Meia Riba Kalxa.”

Changing cities through community journalism: how Mensagem de Lisboa and the two Nunos did it with Narrativas Project

With Catarina Carvalho, Nuno Trigueiros and Nuno Varela

Mensagem from Lisbon has a vision for community journalism, that involves fostering civic participation and belonging in Lisboa urban communities. Through innovative formats, we inform, highlight individuals, and try to have a positive impact. Mensagem de Lisboa has worked with disenfranchised communities, turning media literacy concepts upside down and doing pop up newsrooms where we work with people from those places to tell their own stories. This is a process of empowerment but also a way to tackle news deserts, and promote empathy in a big city.
